Strategic Planning Expertise

The call for reform is a constant refrain and yet our system of education has shown itself in many cases to be remarkably difficult to adopt and adapt. Of course sometimes there can be good reason for educators and schools to resist change. We need to recognise that not all change is good or well thought out in terms of implementation.

I have a keen interest in “change management”, a constant theme throughout my career. This interest has been informed by observing the failure to launch of lots of “great” ideas. Initiatives fail for all sorts of reasons, and often not for want of resources or planning.

I have extensive experience in educational planning at the school and the system level, having worked on policy and strategy development at both organisational and national levels.
