I am a self-employed consultant who leverages insight from many years experience in both public and private sectors.
As a physical sciences graduate, my career started as a research engineer in industry. After working in R&D with Ireland’s largest manufacturing company I moved into education. I have since enjoyed significant periods of employment in a variety of roles, including STEM teacher, college lecturer, policy advisor and, most recently, school leader.
My early years in industry have been of great benefit to my work as an educator. And similarly, my experience in schools and colleges has enriched my work outside the education sector. Over the decades I have regularly “topped-up” my own training and development by participating in further education programmes, both within Ireland and overseas (UK and USA).
